Do you want to be part of a busy, fast paced, leading food Distribution Company, in New Zealand? Bidfood, Foodservice Christchurch has a brilliant opportunity for a permanent position in their sales team, based in Islington, Christchurch.

 As an Account Manager you'll be the face of our brand, forging strong relationships with our clients  as well as managing and developing an existing portfolio of awesome clients from the foodservice and hospitality sectors that incorporate Hotels, Restaurants, Takeaways, Rest Homes, Hospitals, Academic Institutions, Bakeries and the like.

Your main responsibility will be to ensure our clients are not only satisfied but excited about our products and services. You'll be the go-to person for all their needs, from inspiring new menu ideas to resolving issues, all while maintaining our company's fun-loving vibe. You'll need to be highly organised, resilient and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills along with initiative and the ability to work independently.

You will take ownership of your given portfolio, be passionate about sales & have a desire to be number one in a highly competitive market that does not reward second best. You will be joining a team of experienced sales and service gurus who pride themselves on customer service and teamwork. The demands placed on the hospitality sector by its patrons are many and our team are expected to keep ahead of the game and ensure those demands are easily met. Whilst teamwork is critical, the ability to think independently and strike a mutually beneficial deal is also a must.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. 
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Keep ahead of industry trends to stay ahead of the curve. 
  • Represent the company at trade shows, events, and client meetings, embodying our brand's energetic spirit. 

What you need to bring to Bidfood

  • Reliability, integrity and honesty
  • Proven sales experience – preferably in the food service sector in New Zealand
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels of business
  • A passion for sales and achieving targets
  • Ability to build an excellent rapport with clients
