About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Account Manager to manage a portfolio of key national customers operating within the Northland territory.

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role where you’ll act as the go-to person for national account customers in the region. You’ll work closely with our local branch teams, suppliers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery, category development, and ongoing growth.

You’ll be part of a supportive national accounts team, but your primary focus will be managing accounts in your own backyard — helping Bidfood continue to be the preferred foodservice partner in Northland.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of national account customers within Northland
  • Building strong commercial relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service
  • Supporting the delivery of agreed service levels, pricing, and product ranges
  • Working closely with branch operations and sales teams to coordinate seamless service
  • Identifying new product and category opportunities to grow account value
  • Using reporting and financial insights to track account performance and identify opportunities
  • Presenting regular account reviews and driving continuous improvement
  • Supporting local engagement strategies and helping branches build capability in servicing key customers

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in account management, territory sales, or business development (foodservice/FMCG a bonus)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially minded, with a focus on value for both the customer and the business
  • Organised, self-motivated, and confident working across different teams
  • Knowledge of the local Northland market is a definite advantage
