Bidfood Queenstown are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dayshift Forklift Driver to support our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for unloading and re-stocking deliveries using a forklift. You will be required to stock and re-stock the warehouse using a forklift and picking wholesale customer food orders from the dry store, chillers, freezers and fresh produce department, packing order and loading trucks. The role will also involve assisting with receiving, checking and storage of inwards goods, replenishment, cleaning and other warehouse tasks. The roster will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, with a 5am start time. A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed and maximum of 60 hours per week. The hourly rate is from $27.00-$32.00 depending on relevant qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  

  • Load and unload delivery vehicles using a forklift 
  • Stock and re-stock the warehouse using a forklift
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Organize and store products in the warehouse following safety protocols.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and updates.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

 Skills Required:

  • A valid Forklift License
  • A relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 OR 3 years of relevant work experience 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to food safety and quality standards



Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or foodservice environment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
