We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Liquor Specialist to join our team.  As a Liquor Specialist, you will be responsible for managing our liquor inventory, providing expertise on various liquor products and assisting customers in making informed purchasing decisions. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the customer experience by offering personalised recommendations and ensuring our liquor offerings meet their specific needs. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Engage with suppliers to build strong relationships, understand their product portfolios and stay informed on market trends and product availability.
  • Monitor stock on hand versus sales, working closely with the Purchasing team to minimise out of stocks and ensure product focus aligns with availability.
  • Develop strong customer relationships to establish and maintain Bidfood as the preferred liquor supplier.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and leverage them to enhance the customer experience and overall offer.
  • Constantly review the product range to ensure it meets market demands and de-list any duplicate products.
  • Support marketing efforts, including product promotions in brochures, feature placements and EDMs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a similar role within the liquor industry, preferably in a wholesale or retail environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of different types of liquor, including spirits, wine and beer, as well as production methods, flavour profiles and pairings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and suppliers.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities with a keen attention to detail.
