Who are Bidfood?

You might not know Bidfood yet, but you’ve probably spotted one of our 500 trucks on the road delivering everything from fresh produce to pantry staples. Our customers include restaurants, cafés, aged care, hospitals, schools, and even the armed forces and prisons.

We’re big ($1.5B revenue) but practical – 2,300 people across 30 branches, including meat and produce manufacturing plants, from Invercargill to Whangarei (Kerikeri coming soon).

This Role

Marketing at Bidfood started by selling our media space to generate revenue into the business, and that remains core. Today, our marketing strategy focuses on growing customer loyalty and basket size, and we are looking for a proactive, commercially driven, marketing leader who will:

  • Drive commercial growth through supplier-led marketing campaigns.
  • Improve the health of our loyalty programme (Bidclub Rewards) by making it smarter, simpler, and more engaging.
  • Lead the regional marketing plan, with three marketing coordinators reporting to you
  • Lead the channel strategy for eDM and myBidfood (ecommerce) advertising, generating revenue growth and engagement. 
  • Implement digital marketing, automated workflows, and new revenue opportunities to make the team fit for the future. 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in media retail and planning
  • Proven success delivering digital-led loyalty programmes and campaigns
  • Strong commercial acumen, planning, and analytical skills
  • High bias for action and growth mindset, with strong leadership and collaboration skills.
