Procurement Manager
Bidfood is seeking a skilled and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee our purchasing and inventory performance across the branch. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our range delivers value, aligns with customer needs, and supports strong sales and operational performance.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, commercial environment, is passionate about process improvement, and enjoys collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement strategy to support sales growth and cost control
- Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and purchasing decisions
- Oversee inventory performance including rationalisation, slow movers, excess stock and data accuracy
- Ensure strong communication between purchasing, sales, and operations
- Use data (Realtime, Houdini, Excel) to forecast, track and adjust inventory levels
- Monitor and improve stock accuracy, reporting and system integrity
- Support food safety and compliance requirements in stock and supply management
- Collaborate with National Procurement Team and Branch GM on strategic decisions
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in procurement, stock control or supply chain leadership
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- High level of systems literacy – ERP, stock systems and Excel
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive mindset and ability to lead continuous improvement
- Knowledge of foodservice or FMCG logistics is an advantage
