Warehouse Storeperson
Bidfood Nelson is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Storeperson to join our busy warehouse team on a 6 month fixed term basis.
This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys working in a well-organised environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and understands the importance of accuracy. You'll play a key role in ensuring stock is received, stored, replenished, and maintained correctly to support our operations and customer commitments.
We are currently recruiting for both full-time and part-time opportunities and we welcome applications from people with supermarket or warehousing backgrounds to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, check, and put away incoming stock accurately.
- Complete daily replenishment for nightshift operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock rotation practices using scanning equipment.
- Inspect incoming stock for damage, quality, and accuracy.
- Ensure products are correctly labelled, stored, and presented.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, purchasing, and operational teams.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe workplace.
What We're Looking For
- Proven warehouse or supermarket experience if a bonus but not essential.
- Current forklift licence is a bonus but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Pride in maintaining high standards and a well-ordered work environment.
- A reliable, proactive, and positive approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
- Flexibility to work rostered hours across Monday to Saturday.
